چکیده

Rapid growth in population, industry, urbanization and intensive agriculture have led to soil water pollution by various contaminants. Nanoremediation has become one of the most successful emerging technologies for cleaning up contaminants due high reactivity nanomaterials (NMs). Numerous publications are available on use NMs removing contaminants, efficiencies often improved modifications with polymers, clay minerals, zeolites, activated carbon, biochar. This paper critically reviews current state-of-the-art used sustainable remediation, focusing their applications novel remedial approaches, such as adsorption/filtration, catalysis, photodegradation, electro-nanoremediation, nano-bioremediation. Insights into process performances, modes deployment, potential environmental risks management, consequent societal economic implications using remediation indicate that widespread acceptance nanoremediation requires not only a substantial advancement underpinning science engineering aspects themselves, but also practical demonstrations effectiveness already recognized approaches at real world in-situ conditions. New research involving green nanotechnology, nano-bioremediation, risk assessment NMs, outreach activities needed achieve regional global scales.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Remediation of MTBE Contaminated Water and Soil

As the number of leaking underground fuel tank sites with MTBE contamination continues to grow, there is a need to develop cost-effective solutions for treatment of soil and water contamination. MTBE poses special challenges due to its physicochemical properties, in particular high solubility and low Henry’s constant, low affinity for sorption, and very slow rate of microbial degradation. Advan...

Photoassisted remediation of toxic chemical warfare agents using titania nanomaterials

Introduction Remediation of environment polluted with toxic chemical warfare agents (CWA) is a challenging task for authorities who deal with public health and environmental safety. Abnormal health symptoms appear when the human beings are exposed to these hazardous chemicals. Decontamination of surface or environment tainted with these toxic chemicals is the main job we have to do, to avoid he...
